What is the service area of your company?
We service Canada, United states and Mexico.
How are shipping rates determined?
Shipping rates are calculated based on miles, dimensions, and weight of load
Is your dispatch available 24/7?
Dispatch is available Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm cst. After hours are available for emergencies only.
Can you arrange same day or urgent shipments?
Depending on the type of equipment required, same day or urgent shipments are possible.
What are accessorial charges?
Accessorial charges are normally extra services beyond the agreed contract, for example extra labor, detention pay, layover, or any extra type of help needed to load the product.
What classes of Freight Transport do Unified Freight Transfer accommodate?
We accommodate TL, LTL , Partials, over dimensional, Drive aways, and power only’s. We provide all types of services needed to move or load the product.
What are your warehouse rates and conditions?
Unified uses partner warehouses, rate and conditions are provided or included upon agreement.
Do you consider short or long term storages?
Short term warehousing is available through our partners.
Will my goods be safe in your warehouse?
We can ensure that your goods will be safe and secure in any of our warehouses.
How can I monitor the count of inventory of goods in your warehouse?
Monitoring goods in warehouse is between our partners and customers.
What are your payment methods?
Payments are due upon delivery or may request credit, which will be determined based on their credit history.
How Do I Pack/Wrap My Goods?
We can provide packing or wrapping services through lumpers or discuss at the time being.
How do I track shipments in Unified Freight Transfer Services?
You can track your shipments by calling dispatch every morning and afternoon! Unified is working with a 24hr tracking app that will be available soon to our customers!
What is your Freight Transfer Process?
When unified gets contracted for freight transfer, we find the appropriate equipment required for the goods and find the means to load the product or transfer.
How do you measure the weight of freight?
Most goods should be weighed or should have an estimated weight and once loaded, the truck will be sent to scale and the total weight will be calculated.
How long does it take to ship freight?
Once the truck is loaded depending on the miles, it should take between 2 to 4 days for delivery.
What do I need to do after scheduling my pick up?
After scheduling your pick up you don’t have to do anything at all, we take it from there. You can keep in constant communication everyday morning and afternoon
What if my shipment exceeds a full truck load?
If shipment exceeds a full truck load, we can schedule another partial load or depending on the dimensions, we can schedule another truck load.
Do I need to be there when my shipment is picked up?
No need to be there when shipment is being picked up, we can have constant communication between drivers, loaders, customers as well as us at Unified.
How are claims for damage shipments handled?
Claims are handled through our carriers Insurance policies and our very own Insurance company.
How long is the validity of the quotes for shipment?
As demand grows and fuel fluctuates quotes are valid for at least 30 days.
Does Unified Freight Transfer Services Freight Transport Dangerous Goods?
Yes, Unified does transport Dangerous goods with our most responsible carriers.
What Is the Maximum Size and Weight That Can Be Shipped?
Sizes and weights don’t matter. if the weight is over any trailer’s capacity, it can be broken down into various trailers or we can use a multi axle truck and trailer to handle the weight.
The goods were broken when the shipment was delivered. What should I do?
Take pictures, call us immediately so we can see what caused the damage and proceed with insurance claims.
